Stephen Gates, Chief Operating Officer, has been working in the renewable energy sector for over 20 years. He is a pioneer in developing the growing solar industry and is the architect of the project financing system used today by Elite. In his role as the founder and president of Neighborhood Power Corporation (NPC), his focus has been to mainstream the broad scale adoption of solar energy (mainly photovoltaic), for use in distributed generation applications for homes, commercial and industrial spaces. Prior to founding NPC, Stephen co-developed one of the largest residential solar installations in the US at Hummingbird Ranch in Simi Valley, CA. Stephen pioneered Big Box store solar sales through Costco with Solar Systems International and installed with some of the largest rooftop commercial installations in the US, including GM parts distribution centre Ontario, CA, FedEx, and Wyndham to name a few. With over a decade of project financing experience, Stephen has developed unparalleled and proprietary financial models which has been implemented by Elite in its structured financing architecture. Stephen is a key member of the investment structuring team, mitigating risks and securing stakeholder returns.
