Ricardo Espinosa

Ricardo Espinosa, President, has a diverse background with 30 years of experience working in the cleantech industry in the USA and abroad in Europe and South America. His past roles have encompassed a wide array of areas in the field of renewable energy. With a background in mechanical engineering, Ricardo has worked on design projects, product development of power electronics, electric machines, transmissions, battery systems, and overall system solutions. He has structured, formed and led technical and operations teams in the areas of electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, fuel cells, electric vehicle components, solar systems and magnet wire. Ricardo has also worked extensively on the close link between product development and quality systems with teams practicing operational excellence. He served internationally as Managing Director in charge of a product manufacturing and market introduction in Europe, and most recently served as CEO with complete company responsibility at Cepsa SA. Ricardo holds a BS in mechanical engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, and he holds a mini-MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. His hobbies include sailing and mountain biking.
