Elite Global Equity Fund Appoints David Hazels as Head of Accounting and Group Operations

Kansas City, Missouri – Elite Global Equity Fund is pleased to announce that David Hazels, CPA has joined the executive team to lead its accounting and group operation needs. David will report to Don Nissanka, CEO and will lead the financial integration of the firm as it expands into the global market. David is also going to support the overall strategy to expand into multiple countries, including acquisitions, strategic growth  and cost optimization.

David brings over 30 years of public accounting and consulting experience with several global accounting firms, including 18 years as a Partner. “We are thrilled to welcome David to the executive team and confident that his experience will be invaluable as we launch our global strategy this this year. David will lead the capitalization efforts and help to structure the organization to a new global conglomerate, extending his responsibilities to corporate performance, risk management and governance. David comes to us with many years of experience, bringing valuable skills from his leadership roles in attest services, risk services, advisory services and offshore operations at Grant Thornton, KPMG and Arthur Andersen,” said Don Nissanka, CEO.

David previously served as the National Managing Partner of Grant Thornton LLP’s US Advisory practice and oversaw all aspects of the Advisory and Consulting offerings within transactions/diligence, risk and technology modernization practices, including the full range of advisory and consulting solutions. Most recently David served as the National Managing Partner of Grant Thornton LLP’s Global Offshoring operations. He oversaw all aspects of the offshore operations and strategy for the US firm to support the Audit, Tax and Advisory practices. Additionally, he was responsible for Grant Thornton’s mid-office and back-office offshoring operations supporting the US firm’s internal infrastructure. He also served as a member of Grant Thornton LLP’s Senior Leadership Team, as well as Grant Thornton International’s Advisory Board, supporting the overall global consulting strategy throughout Grant Thornton International.
